About Us

Jim and Shelly Phalen both have extensive backgrounds in business and the horse industry.  Jim has an engineering degree from Kansas State University and is now a part owner in a construction company.

Shelly has owned and shown horses since her early teenage years.  She has boarded horses at various facilities over the years, and in 1996 she and Jim purchased their current home, where they have raised and cared for their own paint and quarter horses.  Shelly’s experience in the horse industry, combined with both she and Jim’s business experience, bring credibility and stability to this facility.

Shelly has handed down her life-long love of horses to both of their daughters.  Holly and Taylor actively care for the Phalen’s group of horses, and compete in shows at both the regional and national level.
